Something to make you smile...

I haven't been able to get this song out of my head this afternoon. Gold!

A Mermaid's Tale

Possibly my favourite jewellery to make, "A Mermaid's Tale" is so very lucious! Clusters of ocean hues combine in this luxe design. I have used sparkling amethyst, citrine and blue topaz, rustic ruby in zooisite and aquamarine, and a selection of freshwater pearls - all carefully wirewrapped to a hand made sterling wire and amethyst chain. A wonderfully tactile piece, this is completely with an ornate Balinese silver leaf toggle clasp. A truly luxurious bracelet, this would suit anyone with a penchant for the mysteries of the sea.

An Aussie handcrafted store - Madeit

I have spent a fair portion of the past couple of days eating (like many others I would imagine!) but spared some time tonight to open my own Madeit store. This is a site for Australian designers only. I added a couple of my "Bloom" earrings.

I'll be back tomorrow with another image laden post - lots of lovely new items in my Etsy store that I haven't shown off yet!

December creations...

My fingers have been busy...and still more in the pipeline!

Inner Strength

I'm in love with making these little flowers - especially for earrings. They are so petite and modern, and so so sweet. I think I will be making more of these!

Sabrina's necklace

Leon and I have known Andrew and Sabrina for years, and they are our oldest and dearest friends. Sabrina was the first of us to reach 40 - and I hasten to add I will be the last - and I was delighted to make her something special.

I knew she would like it, but I did not anticipate how wonderful it looked on her, and how proud I felt that I was able to make my good friend something that was so very "her".

I used honey quartz as the focals, and included labradorite, emerald, garnet, andalusite and freshwater pearls also...completed with accents of Balinese silver and a handforged swan clasp.

Happy Birthday Sabrina! xo

Warning - long picture post ahead!

Things have been so hectic I've had little time to update the blog, but have a few new designs in my Etsy store to peruse. More to follow...

Ice Formation

Have my kids home with my today - they are off school extremely tired after a massive weekend - and fighting whenever they come into each others proximity! Really looking forwards to the Christmas holidays if this is a taste of how things are going to be...not. Back to the jewellery, chat soon!
